Week of 11/28/11

This week in robotics, we have been preparing a lot for the FLL competition that's on Saturday. I have been building various pieces for the tables. Also, I've been working on programming in OpenCV C++ in the vault. I also came in during lunch and helped build legos. On Friday, I stayed super late to help set up for the competition by setting the tables and other items.

Blog 9/20/11

On Saturday and Sunday, I went to the falcon retreat in Payson. I thought the experience was very positive. I got to know some people better and get to meet entirely new people I didn't know. We all played capture the flag for a while too. It was all fun until we ran out of water. When we ran out, everyone was desperate and was sucking on ice.

Chairman's award submission.

I think the Chairman's Award submission was beautifully written facts. Being in Robotics is all about teamwork and looking out for each other and this submission shows it.Being an undocumented student is tough (trust me I know) and it's great that the Falcon Robotics Team appreciates the DREAM Act. The fact that they mentor kids really contributes to the community. That is what being in Robotics is about. Helping others, contributing to the community, and just plain out have fun. That is what robotics is about! I loved this submission.

August 11, 2011

Today, I found out what the requirements are to be in the Falcon Robotics Team. Also, I also learned what time the programming workshops are going to start and end. I'm also going to ask my teachers if they would like to donate their tax credit to the Falcon Robotics Team and then get it back at a later time.
